Verizon Motorola Droid Cell Phone
The Verizon Motorola Droid cell phone will be available in black and titanium colors. I like the name Droid and I cannot wait for this phone to come out on Verizon. This is very exciting news for us Verizon hopefuls. This is just the beginning of what is expected here at Verizon.

The Verizon Motorola Droid cell phone features include a 3.7-inch 854×480 WVGA capacitive Touch Screen display, 5 megapixel camera, Touch Screen, Custom Motorola Interface/UI, no MOTOBLUR, no Verizon UI, ARM Cortex 500MHz CPU. The 500Mhz processor is the only thing that I am not feeling right now. Everything else is great as far as specs go. Especially that beautiful 3.7″ 854×480 WVGA capacitive touchscreen. The Verizon Motorola Droid cell phone will be available on November 6th for $199.99 with a 2-yr contract agreement and after a $100 rebate.
The Motorola Droid cell phone looks impressive though…not really a good looking device, Don’t get me wrong, the phone looks great. This thing is a beast. Good for Google, VZW, and Motorola. This will most likely be my next phone, it sounds right up my alley…this is what we have been waiting for!
The Droid is already been confirmed you can store and run apps from your SD without rooting the devicefrom other people with hands on experience. This handset is already been confirmed you can store and run apps from your SD without rooting the device from other people with hands on experience.

WOWW. I REALLY WANT THIS PHONEZZ! IZ THE SHITTT!
October 18th, 2009 at 8:26 pm
This is such great news. Having Android on Verizon will improve the network and the carrier 10 fold.
October 19th, 2009 at 11:10 am
Just another iphone clone. It may offer features that iphone does not, but a simple software change with iphone will allow many of the same features (obviously not a physical keyboard though, or a 5mp camera). What is with the 500mhz processor? Upon release, it will already be slower than a iphone 3GS. I think for someone to compete, there needs to be some REAL changes.
October 19th, 2009 at 6:26 pm
Iphone is still better… Always will be… No comparison ever! Even verizon sucks… Horrible customer service!
October 21st, 2009 at 5:40 am
the people who reply to the phone thing need to stop doin bob marley inpressions.
October 21st, 2009 at 7:02 pm
This is suppose to be the Iphone for verizon?
October 23rd, 2009 at 10:15 am
Verizon needs to stop messing around and pick up the iphone. Verizon may have bad customer service but their network kicks ass and everybody knows it. if the best network would team up with the best phone ever, they would be unstoppable and generate millions of dollars.
October 23rd, 2009 at 11:14 pm
The iPhone has a lot of short-comings that most people don’t seem to notice (for example the fact that you can’t connect a bluetooth keyboard to the thing because of the weak stack). Droid sounds promising but we’ll see. It’s hard to compete with the name “Apple” when it comes ot hand-held gadgets. Just ask Microsoft (Zune anyone?).
October 24th, 2009 at 5:31 pm
android system sucks balls we all know. Just a fancy my touch
October 25th, 2009 at 11:51 am
This phone looks like what my dog leaves on the lawn. The iphone for verizon would be unstoppable.
October 26th, 2009 at 5:08 pm
Wow. Lot’s of idiots around here. We all know the iphone is a piece of junk, and the att network was designed by retards. Way to go Verizon. Bout time.
October 27th, 2009 at 9:48 am
What a rip off! What do you think. Another PC based brick wanting to be a Mac. Another poor attempt from Microsoft thinking they are on the same level. Where are the innovations that make these devices unique. Open Platform? They are begging for trouble. They can’t get rid of their virus problems on desktops, what can you expect on mobiles at their disposal. All their info at hackers disposal. Kinda feel sorry for them and their inferiority complex. Good luck to those that buy these, hopefully it won’t be too bad.
October 28th, 2009 at 12:44 am
A phone on the Verizon network without the limitations of the Verizon software? Sounds great, but we’ll see.
October 28th, 2009 at 7:32 am
IPhone? I had (and still have) a LG Envy. This looks like it may be my replacement. My Envy (almost 2 years ago) has a 3.2 megapixel camera, video camera, turn by turn voice nav., etc. And I can actually SEND a picture off my phone, can the idiots at apple figure that out? IN TWO YEARS MAYBE. I had this when the I-Joke had a 2.0 meg camera, no video camera, no MMS ability.
IPhone is a joke and the AT&T network is a joke.
DON’T BELIEVE THE HYPE. DON’T BE YET ANOTHER CLONE IN YOUR NORTH FACE COAT AND YOUR IPHONE.
October 28th, 2009 at 4:43 pm
this phone will be the best phone out for a while…until 4g phones come out. it will be 1000 times better than the iphone and the iphone cant do anything cause it is made by apple and no offense to apple lovers but the whole company is for retards. i say this because you cant nearly as many things on a mac as you can for a pc.
October 28th, 2009 at 5:42 pm
It comes out November 6
October 29th, 2009 at 3:26 am
Wth? Apple *sigh* depresses me. I had an iPod touch and just like my other iPods crapped out before it hit the 1 year mark my zune has lasted me over a year already :)
October 29th, 2009 at 7:03 pm
Sooner or later there will be a better phone then iPhone,
it might be the next gen. iPhone by Apple, but this is not
it! I used to hate the iPhone, mostly because Apple is such
a proprietary beast, but after having one for a year, it’s no
question it’s the best smart phone available.
October 30th, 2009 at 2:39 pm
sucks it REQUIRES a $30/month data plan. THATS $720 additional dollars your shelling out. IDK in this economy. screw verizon!
November 1st, 2009 at 4:56 pm
Wow there are a lot of iTards on this site. Sure iPhone is better. If you want to have to carry around a charging block with you since there is no replaceable battery. And its better because you can’t load the app YOU want, but only the ones unkie steve says you can. And less we forget its better because it has a virtual keyboard where there is no tactile feedback so typing will ALWAYS be slower then on a real keyboard.
Finally its better because of that oh so high quality that Apple has been known for on their iTard phones. Oh wait. No they aren’t.
Give me the droid phone any day of the week. You couldn’t pay me (I literally mean it.) to use the iTard phone. If I want a fashion statement I’ll get a turd phone. If I want to do something I will get an Android based phone.
November 1st, 2009 at 6:12 pm
Erh, its not as flashy as the iPhone. But the commercial definitely owned the iPhone, I also think that they haven’t beaten the iPhone just yet. iPhone on verizon would make everyone happy though, someday aye?
November 1st, 2009 at 10:01 pm
Silicon, seems like you hold a personal vendetta against Apple for some reason, but anyone that Ive talked to with an iPhone swears by them, I personally dont have one but have an iPod touch and have never had a problem with it and I plan on buying an iPhone, theyre great and have thousands of apps you can download to customize your phone, as for Android its a piece of crap I dont understand how you can swear by it…
November 2nd, 2009 at 1:28 am
The iPhone has a contract with AT&T that ends I believe towards the end of the year.
November 2nd, 2009 at 12:10 pm
I wanted the iphone for the longest and I loved Verizon’s network BUT Verizon’s data plans are way over priced. I recently discovered sprint and the palm pre. for $77 a month I get everything I want and its unlimited data usage. any PRE owner knows there a tons of things u can do with it. I can download tons of free apps and themes and it kicks ass! so I say forget the iphone and Verizon’s over price data plans; its all about sprint and the Palm pre.
November 2nd, 2009 at 3:52 pm
i think the new droid from verizon will kick the iphones but apple is great and all but verizon is made for cell and thir good at it.apple makes phones computers and exc. they need to pick somthing and stick with it. i say droid could be the best for about a year until 4g comes out but then verizon could come out with a better phone but for now peace out peeps.
November 2nd, 2009 at 6:18 pm
iPhone and Droid cannot compete with the best operating system out there for mobile phones…
Palm Pre is light years ahead of both…
November 3rd, 2009 at 2:17 am
okay “bank” palm pre might be nice, but sprint is the worst service ever. and “boo” apple isnt the provider so how are comparing them to verizon?!? this phone is a great phone at least from motorola. it will be a great phone for them to get into the touch screen biz. the new android 2.0 is much faster and is able to much more than that piece of crap iphone. not to mention the horrible 3g coverage with at&t. have you ever tried gettin something done using there edge service, might as well end it all.
great phone
November 3rd, 2009 at 2:40 pm
I keep hearing about the great verizon network, but everyone I know has just as many problems with verizon as all the other companies… I have been with AT&T, Verizon and now Sprnt…I stayed with Sprint because I do not have dropped calls…I get reception in places where no one else seems to…plus no one seems to factor in the actual phones they are using…I do not replace my phones that often but I do know that my girlfriend got the “free” phone with Sprint and has fewer bars wherever we go…my phone works in places hers does not…my next door neighbor can not use his Verizon phone in his apartment…I have tons of bars right next door…he can’t get service at the office…I can…keep it real…there are more factors than what most of you are talking about and wish to admit…they are all tradeoffs…the iphone is the best touchscreen phone available…theyre smart…concentrate all there efforts on one phone and get it right instead multiple phones for all the networks on all the operating systems…think if everyone did the same thing…all their talent…all their features on one phone….hmmmm…
November 3rd, 2009 at 5:06 pm
the palm pre is far from having the best OS. I have personally used the new droid phone and can tell you that the 500mhz processor they use is more than enough to show all you iphone users that your phone is outdated. The phone itself was built around this particular processor because its tried and true with no suprises…..meaning no bad glitches like the Storm at launch. This phone is flat out the fastest smartphone offered. It has a bigger screen, removable memory, the fastest network to play on, and not to mention that a cheaper price than any decent iphone.
November 3rd, 2009 at 7:35 pm
do your research people, droid beats out iphone and the new storm 2 by far on nearly every feature point. my entire company is getting them. well done on the open source aggregation of services! L8s.
November 5th, 2009 at 6:13 pm
Got the iPhone for work and a curve with vzw for my personal phone. Had the iPhone for a year now and would never make it my personal device or and AT&T service can’t compair. Moto droid phone looks the shiz. Touchscreen with slide out keyboard already has it all over iPhone. Try answering ur iPhone with gloves on in the winter or texting. I could go on with iPhone complaints but where would I stop. N e way. Moto droidphone is mine tomorrow
November 8th, 2009 at 7:35 pm
well i think that this phone is absolutely great. all you haters out there dissin the droid well yall dont know what yall are missin i went to the verizon store yesterday and played with this phone and it rock the iphone! the iphone sucks compared to the droid. well it does have a 5mp camera that rox my sox and the texting on the keyboard is awesome!! the battery life is in beast mode all the time!!!!! if you dont believe me go and get this phone. you wont regret it. promise. I LOVE THIS PHONE!!! and it IS NOT AN IPHONE CLONE YA TERDS!!!
November 9th, 2009 at 11:05 am
hey f*ck all cell phones and their carries!!! MW2 is out tonight bitches!! yay yay!! all the video game junkies know what I am talking about. I will own yo ass tonight online!!
November 9th, 2009 at 7:03 pm
another lame attempt to compete with the iphone….. the worse part of the whole thing is its only usable with verison! Verison is the worse carrier out there….. I would rather not use a cell phone than use their service. POOR reception, and when you dont drop calls the quality SUCKS!!!! poor customer service!!!! NEVER< NEVER
November 9th, 2009 at 7:48 pm
yo this phone is hotter then the storm hands down and iphone will most likely never come out with verizon and if so they will never have a wifi because verizon wants to charge you an extra 30 dollars a month for it …. i’m not going to lie the iphone is hot but their service is s—tty so i will take this phone it will work for now…..
November 9th, 2009 at 8:29 pm
i love verizon. this new phone doesnt seem so new though, its similar to my envy touch cell which i love. i think all at&t has is that damn iphone other than that their selection of phones sucks compared to verizon. with verizon you pay more but you have far better service compared to at&t. if i didnt care what kind of phone i wanted and didnt mind crappy service i definitly would have at&t instead of verizon! now if verizon would just gimme a job!!
November 12th, 2009 at 1:39 pm
bobby I agree
November 13th, 2009 at 3:04 pm
I just got the phone today and it is a little hard but it has coool apps I can scan a item at the store and it will get me a cupon for it! I think I will stay with this phone

November 21st, 2009 at 1:39 pm
this phone is way cool, but the keyboard is crap. It id way to small and flat!
December 1st, 2009 at 6:59 pm
T-Mobile and VodaPhone got shafted big time by not getting this Android Device before Verizon. Considering they were the first two companies on the OHA. I am considering getting an unlocked version of this phone for t-mobile instead of the also impressive..but Andriod 1.5 Motorola Cliq. All Iphone fans need to face it, Android 2.0 is the ultimate right now and Windows Mobile is following suit with it’s 6.5 mobile softwear and multitouch on both platforms. Which apple tryed to paitent and failed. Apple had to release and 3GS because other phones we’re killing them in sales and just downright power. The Iphone started loosing when the G1 came out. And with Google just constantly improving Android, and not to mention in the short amount of time it’s been around (only a year) and Iphone OS which has been out a while now. Iphone is soon going to be a distant memory.
December 11th, 2009 at 10:44 pm
For all I you iPhone phone haters out there. Get off Verizon’s shit,, fo
r one if your phone was as tight as u all clam, u would not be on this site crying and bickering about comparing the two. The truth is you have nothing better to do with ur miserable lives besides get the iPhone and hope somebody notices u have it. So grow up and get a life.
December 17th, 2009 at 9:42 am
Just wait – the google phone is coming – no tied to anyone provider – a revolution is upon us.
December 17th, 2009 at 8:21 pm
No the iphone stinks and the droid is way better. at&t stinks the coverage is horrible verizon is beast. the droid is an awesome phone id know i have it and the iphones an ugly piece of crap that breaks when you touch it
December 22nd, 2009 at 2:55 pm
I personally know 3 people with the droid…that replaced it the day after. Everyone I’ve met with an iPhone loves it and doesn’t break theirs throwing it like most of you probably do. I’ve had an iPod Classic for over 2 years now…I’ve dropped it while riding my bike, out of a moving car, and off the top of a bus (i was sitting up top with some friends.) Other than bent metal, and not much of that, the screen is fine, and the iPod works as good as new. It is just you stupid people. I go camping a lot. Sprint gets service…ATT gets service…verizon gets none. Not in my basement, not in the woods, not in schools, not in offices, unless you are in a completely unobstructed area, you are screwed.
December 23rd, 2009 at 5:11 pm
okay..i live out in the woods and Verizon is the only one that allows me to get perfect service on my phone, i had at&t before and i didn’t get crap. I have several friends with iPhones and Macbooks and each one of them always have some kind of problem with their lovely little Apple products. Seems to me that people with an iPhone think they’re the **it and it’s really annoying and stupid. I would try the Droid before the iPhone any day..
December 24th, 2009 at 10:36 am
Alright. Enough complaining about who is the best service provider. A study was JUST released this month about cell phone service. Verizon tops EVERY chart and to quote the study “If verizon is available where you live you should probably get it”. it also stated that “AT&T battle Sprint for last place in overall service” – unbiased, published, its in consumer reports, numerous websites — stop arguing with facts.
December 26th, 2009 at 6:51 am
I think the droid will be a big companion over the iphone.at&t is really good company but verizon has more 3g coverage.but the thing about the iphone is that it seems like a phone to get more buiseness .I’d say the droid would be a better desicion
