I asked in my local store and they said Verizon will NOT be carrying the BOLD. Going straight to the Storm or whatever they are naming the one that is most like the iphone. I hate Verizon.

I know that AT&T just delayed the release of the BB Bold and Verizon will have the BB storm. Anyone heard when Verizon will actually have this thing, maybe Jan 2009?

The Verizon launch date for the Bold is May 9th 2009 (tentative). They did not want to have a device that competed with the Storm and Curve so soon after their release.

the bold is comming out hopefully in may or mid summer for verzion it will not be called the bold it twill be the same thing as the bold just a different name

Verizon isn’t getting the Bold. The phone everybody is refering to is the Tour. Initially set to drop in May, but now is pushed back until the week of July 13th, at least according to latest news. The phone isnt the Bold, in fact the closest thing to describe it as is a cross between the Bold and the new 8900 curve. It’s size is right in between both previously mentioned models. So everybody posting that its the bold or the same thing re-named are completely wrong and mis-informed

The BOLD is coming out for Verizon. It will be coming out very soon. It’s not the Tour, it’s the BOLD. Perhaps Verizon is calling it the TOUR but it is indeed the BOLD.
It is not misinformation, it’s fact.
It’s a fantastic Bberry, being a Bberry user for many years. I’ve had my Curve for over a year w/them and it’s fantastic. The only bad thing is, being a Mac user, I cannot upgrade my “OS” software unless it’s on a PC. Since the BOLD is coming out in about 3-4 weeks, what’s the point…..And Verizon is NOT coming out w/an iPhone. AT&T is and will always be the only carrier w/the iPhone.

The guy Randy basically read another website that was talking about the comparisons between the BB Curve, Bold and Tour. He doesn’t know if and when it’s coming out. I read the same info from that website too but it doesn’t mean it’s true and I don’t have to pretend like I’m a big wireless insider with classified news. He simply read the info from the website and passed it off as his own knowledge.

I do not think Verizon will release the Bold or new Curve. They committed to selling a certain number of Storm units which they are having trouble doing .. The last thing they want is another BB device to dampen those sales numbers.
Just get an iPhone like I did .. Except I got it the first day it came out 2 years ago .. Suckers.
