T-Mobile myTouch 3G reviews:
by Mr. Hi-Definition review:
I saw the T-Mobile myTouch 3G at T-Mobile training today (my 1st day) and I like the form factor of it, but I wish the portrait keyboard was easier to type on like the iPhone. The landscape keyboard is a lot better and overall the phone performs pretty well. It has a nice weight and it is a little smaller than the iPhone. This is a great start for T-Mobile.

Looks nice! I’m not a fan of touchscreen phones anymore, though. I need a physical keyboard. But good job t-mobile.

We’ve had the T-Mobile myTouch 3G in the UK for a few months now, and I’m surprised T-mobile are pushing it as an upgrade to the G1.
And I’m surprised you guys in the USA have to pay $199 for the privilige of owning one with a 2-year contract! What are the monthly payments for that on top?
At Vodafone UK the HTC Magic (same handset as the myTouch) is FREE on an 18 month contract for £30 a month, or FREE on a 24 month contract for £25 a month (includes the much needed Mobile Internet!

I really want to get a android OS phone but I don’t like the G1’s keyboard and with the Mytouch 3G screen at 3.2″ its too small for a touchscreen QWERTY.
I have a G1, why would I pay $500 for the same phone in essence. I too would like to know what that “Bright Lights” is all about

T-Mobile is the nation’s 4th largest carrier because they didn’t participate in any mega mergers that Verizon, AT&T and Sprint participated in. They had a few small ones like SunCom but come on let’s be real not stupid.
I for one am very excited to get this device
I like T-Mobile’s network where I live and the call quality is excellent. I’ve been testing their 3G network out here in LA and I like what I see. They don’t have 80 million users clogging up the network so at least in my area it’s all mine for the taking. ;-) No complaints here!

T-Mobiles 3G coverage is so poor you must wonder why they put 3G into the name, I guess it’s to trick the uninformed into believing that the phone will access 3G whereever they may roam. Of course, they could have called it the MyTouch 2G or the MyTouch EDGE but those names don’t make the potential mark/customer think data speed.
