The Verizon Samsung Gem cell phone looks like the Galaxy Spica. A mid-low Samsung Android device. Which is why they’re low end, not everybody in the world is a heavy end user. My friend has a Droid and only uses it for texting, picture messages, and occasional web. But the initial price is a bit lower, but you’re paying the same fee every month as you would with a high end phone. That’s it.

The Verizon Samsung Fascinate cell phone launches on September 9th for $199.99 on a two-year contract, though interested folks will be able to pre-order in Best Buy locations starting August 27th. The Fascinate does look ok but I think Sprint got the best design with the Epic, even though the keyboard looks like a Samsung Glyde. More hot new phones come out every day that make Android users green with envy.

The Verizon Samsung Fascinate (Galaxy S) cell phone shipping around September 6th based on a September 9th launch. I have no doubts that the phone is coming soon, but sadly, that screen shot is of the application that updates the phones in the store, not of the inventory system. But a sept 9 release date would be welcome. I’ve been waiting for this phone for 2 months now! I guess that is assuming the Fascinate will be $199, but I think that is a pretty good possibility.

The new BlackBerry Oxford 9670 cell phone looks like a much better designed flip. The BlackBerry Pearl failed because it wasn’t a full keyboard and it had too soft a form factor to it. This is truly groundbreaking. Beautiful design! How do they think of these things. We are living in exciting times.  The BlackBerry 9670 Oxford has a 460 x 400 internal display, and a 240 x 320 external display, 5 megapixel camera, optical trackpad for navigation, WiFi, A-GPS, an 8 GB microSD memory card is included in the sales package. It running BlackBerry OS 6 OS. I really like this design. RIM really put effort on their mobile devices. The 9670 will be available for Verizon or Sprint.

The Verizon ZTE Salute cell phone only chugs along at 1xRTT speeds as was confused. The Salute has a 2.4-inch screen, 1.3-megapixel camera, Mobile Web capable, Messaging options include: text, picture and voice messaging; Mobile Email; Mobile Web Email; and Chat capable, Bluetooth, VZ Navigator, Facebook, Twitter, and MySpace. The Salute is now on sale for $19.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate with a new two-year customer agreement.
