The T-Mobile G2 cell phone being larger than the G1, the keyboard has to be way bigger and better. I really like the .com www. button, swype needs that as well. Those are ‘quick keys’ and they are basically macros keys that can be programmed to do anything you want. And the T-Mobile G2 will have 7 homescreens not the 5 you are used to. I would say that these specialized keyboard buttons are for accessing the different home screens. When i first saw the pictures i thought thats cool for picking different home screens and then i read the post. My bets are for home screen selection.

T-Mobile Huawei Ideos – New T-Mobile cell phones

September 4th, 2010 Posted by New Cell Phones

The T-Mobile Huawei Ideos cell phone is small and so damn affordable. It’s simple. I would love to have it just to tinker and mess around with it. You can always count on T-Mobile for entry-level Android devices, it seems. The future is shaping around small, affordable, and higher quality with an attractive design. The T-Mobile Ideos Android phone offered a plug-in “stick” for laptops to connect to wireless Internet. Mr. Stofega, the IDC analyst, said the Ideos will likely be priced under $100 in the U.S., possibly as low as $50. ”

The T-Mobile IDEOS features a 2.8-inch touchscreen display, 3.2 megapixel autofocus camera, 528 MHz processor, 3G HSDPA and WiFi connectivity with hotspot support, voice dialing, and navigation.

September 3rd, 2010 Posted by New Cell Phones

The T-Mobile MyTouch HD cell phone is coming soon, supposedly the screen is 4.3-inch with a 1Ghz processor. As far as other features, rumors are it has an 8MP camera and stereo microphone and loudspeaker running on Froyo. I really hope all the rumored specs are true! It will be November 3rd, aka “Emerald”…

T-Mobile G2 Specs

September 2nd, 2010 Posted by New Cell Phones

T-Mobile G2 cell phone Specifications / Features:

- 800MHz Qualcomm Scorpion processor
- 3.7 inch WVGA display
- Wi-Fi, GPS
- 5MP autofocus camera
- Slide-out QWERTY keyboard
- Android 2.2 Froyo
- Flash Player 10.1
- One-touch Quick Keys for fast access to Google shortcuts and applications
- HSPA+

Don’t worry about the CPU speed. Check the GPU and then decide if it is worth it. CPU speed is less important. What is important is how powerful the GPU is. Although this CPU is only rated at 800MHz, it features Adreno 205 GPU! T-Mobile G1 has a damn ARM 11 processor, the G2 has a ARM Cortex A8. Let me put it like this ARM 11 < ARM Cortex A8, period. I really wanted to get this phone.

T-Mobile G2 price $199.99, $499.99 no contract

September 1st, 2010 Posted by New Cell Phones

T-Mobile G2 is basically a Nexus One with a keyboard and 2.2, it’s like Nexus Two ! T-Mobile G2 cell phone will be available for $199.99 with a two-year contract and $50 mail-in rebate, or $499.99 without contract. I’d say it’s a fair bet that it will run vanilla android, which I think is the only android I would ever want. The whole point of this phone is to have HSPA+ on T-Mobile. Sure the Epic 4G has the graphics, but is bigger and HSPA+ is likely going to be faster until 2012. I am really thinking about getting this phone.
