The Samsung S8500 cell phone comes with Bluetooth 3.0, with the assumption that Bluetooth 3.0 will be present, hopefully long transfer times from one device to another will no longer be an issue. New Samsung cell phones – Samsung S8500 has a 3.1 inch High resolution OLED touchscreen screen, TouchWIZ UI, WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, 3G capable. The S8500 supports EDGE/GPRS Quad-Band(850/900/1800/1900).

The Bluetooth 3.0 + HS specification was adopted by the Bluetooth SIG on April 21, 2009. It supports theoretical data transfer speeds of up to 24 Mbit/s. Its main new feature is AMP (Alternate MAC/PHY), the addition of 802.11 as a high speed transport. Two technologies had been anticipated for AMP: 802.11 and UWB, but UWB is missing from the specification.

The new Samsung cell phone screen technology does sound pretty cool. Samsung Mobile display announced that they will begin to produce AMOLED panels with integrated touch function. they will be producing a new 3.3-inch AMOLED display, the 3.3-inch seems a little small. I’m shocked it’s not 3.7-inch, as that seems to be the new screen size that’s becoming popular. The screen must look amazing. The colors truely are much more crisp. I can’t wait for TVs to get that stuff.

The Samsung Galaxy 2 is an Android phone with greater 32 GB Internal memory. This is amazing. I’m guessing that it also has a slot for microSDHC. New Samsung cell phones – Samsung Galaxy 2 has 3.7 inch AMOLED touchscreen, 5 MP camera, 1 GHz Snapdragon, 32 GB internal memory, WiFi, GPS, 3.5 mm jack, Android 2.1 OS. Expected release date is Q2 2010. The Samsung will make the official announcement at MWC in Barcelona 2010. This definitely looks better than the original Galaxy with its minimalist design. I’m just hoping that the screen resolution matches that of that Nexus One at 800×480.
