Why can’t Verizon obtain a nice slider phone or two with a large screen, say 3 inches or more? I think Verizon and other carriers need to think about the OLDER generation because we use cell phones too and our eyesight isn’t what it used to be. Even with my glasses I sometimes have problems viewing things on display screens. LET’S GET SOME UNITS WITH LARGER DISPLAYS!

Will there be new phones coming out for TV viewing. Why isn’t ABC listed as a channel for TV reception?
June 18th, 2009 at 4:33 pm
When will TV reception be available in NC? Especially the Goldsboro area. All other companies in that area that offer TV reception has it except Verizon. Please bring it in ASAP. I don’t want to go back to Sprint just for the TV and radio capabilities they offer with their phones as much as I dislike Sprint.

I think that now that Verizon and Alltel have combined, they need to look at the phones At&t have and start thinking of phones that could compete with theirs because the phones they have right now are in no way close to competing with At&t. Are you just satisfied with having the largest network? That doesn’t matter if the network sucks. The largest 3G network should have the fastest 3G network, don’t you think? Also, the prices of these phones are ridiculus! There’s no way that a phone should cost $300 with Verizon and then cost $89 with another carrier. Lower the prices!

I assume when you are saying that Verizon should look at the phones At&t has that you are talking about the Iphone… Well get over it! The IPhone was offered to Verizon Wireless before it was ever offered to AT&T- and Verizon doesn’t want it for lots of reasons. Number one— You can’t even pull out the battery- something that could be fixed with a soft reset now requires you to send your phone in to Apple- because At&t can’t even trouble shoot the phones. So then you are with out a phone for 1-2 weeks while you wait for Apple to get around to sending you out a new phone. Verizon doesn’t have the Iphone because its not in the best interest of Verizon Customers- God forbid that a company actually wants to keep its customers happy.

There’s rumors that Verizon does have a really cool phone coming out just not sure exactly when. Its the Samsung i8000 Omnia II. It has a 3.7 in screen (bigger than an iPhone screen) and still a 5 mp camera (still better than an iPhone too). It looks pretty cool and nice. I’m pretty excited about it and am going to wait this year out to see what other phones come out
Here’s a couple of websites to give you a feel of what the phone looks like

If Verizon really wanted to keep it’s customers happy they would have completely taken over all contracts that customers had with the emotionless Alltel company. I can say maybe Verizon does not want to have the iphone but they are losing customers due to the actions of the company they merged with. I would rather stay with a company that truly backs what they say than leave, but after being with Alltel for 8 or 9 years, this last year they were absolutely horrible to me and my family. I am hesitant to stay with Verizon due to the company they keep. I am waiting to see if they are going to stand by what they say. I would love to be with a company that cared about the customer more than the almighty dollar. I too am not impressed with the phones or the prices Verizon is offering, but it is nothing to do with the IPHONE.

TO VZWgirlie, the Iphone rejection from verizon was indeed, VERIZON’s BIGGEST MISTAKE, which is why according to multiple sources (including USA Today) Verizon is in the works with Apple about signing a contract with them; pending ATT not renewing their exclusive rights. Verizon may have the best reception, but to keep their younger crowds (and highest PAYING because of Applications and such) happy, they’re going to have to introduce newer phones to keep up with it.
ps: If they do sign, i wonder how much APPS on Iphone will be since verizon likes to reduce homebrew, and charge (through vcast) 9.99 for their stuff, as opposed to .99-3.99 for ATT.

I just got the motorola rival today and I love this phone
September 16th, 2009 at 5:15 pm
I say that the MOTOROLA KRAVE is the sexiest phone EVER. Rarely anyone has it. ITs a touch screen and a flip phone. It does everything and has everything that all the other verizon phones have pretty much. It has TV!!! AND PC connections. I LOVE IT. JUST TWO IMPROVEMENT NEEDED: 1. UPGRADE CAMERA FROM 2.0 MEGAPIXELS TO ATLEAST A 3.0. 2. MOST IMPORTANTLY, PUT ENABLE SPEECH ON TEXT MESSAGES AND THE PHONE WILL BE PERFECT. NEVERTHELESS I LOVE MY PHONE!!! ITS VERIZON TOP PHONE RIGHT NOW!!!
September 28th, 2009 at 8:01 pm
I Have the Env Touch and it is perfect except they should have put a 5MP Camera and they need to fix the problem with the screen freezing when you unplug it from charging. The best phone verizon has had in a LONG time! ********
October 15th, 2009 at 9:35 pm
I think the comment made about Verizon looking at At&Ts styles of phones was dead on. Not just AT&T, but Sprint as well. Not everyone wants a “touch” phone, and those two companies have some of the most innovative, user friendly slide phones on the market. Specifically, the Samsung Reclaim. Why on earth have they not adopted this style for a Verizon model? Bewilders the mind. I’m not old, so it has nothing to do with technology being scary or screen being too hard to read. I just carry my phone in my pocket and would destroy a touch phone within days. Samsung has tons of unique and great looking slide phones for just about everyone that isnt Verizon. Let’s play catch up guys. Also, I dont think I’m quite full of myself enough to ever want/use an iPhone.
October 22nd, 2009 at 7:21 pm
Is verizon still coming out with that sleek chocolate touch? I really need a new phone and was hoping to get that one! Thanks!
October 22nd, 2009 at 7:26 pm
Is the sleek chocolate touch ever coming out? I really need a new phone asap…and when is that HTC Touch Diamond one coming out, it looks decent?
October 25th, 2009 at 3:16 pm
the prices on the phones are crazy and if you have combined with another company why can,t we get a phone from there as well. i have waited to get a new phone for free but the selections are so limited?????? what up with that$$$$$$$
October 26th, 2009 at 2:24 pm
I like verizon and i just bought the twist but i think they should have more colored-phones options. I agree that some phones are crazy-expensive and i do agree that they should lower their prices too.
October 30th, 2009 at 2:00 pm
Yeah Verizon needs to come out with new phones that are nice but do not require an information packet. They used to have the Palm Centro but they got rid of it and only have phones that are either touch screen with a keyboard that you can get to by flipping it or sliding it, flip phones that all look alike, or sliders that all look alike. I think that they need to find some new phones. I dont care who they compete with as long as they get nicer phones that work and are different then the twenty phones that are all same.
November 11th, 2009 at 4:58 am
i think that verizon should come out with the i phone! all of my friends that have it LOVE it and say it is a really great phone. By not getting the i phone, verizon is losing both young kids who like the phone because it is cool and the “hot thing” right now and olderpeople because it is an easy and quick way for us the check e-mail and go on the internet without havng towait 12 minutes for the page to load. I have a blackberry and while i would never switch over to at&t because i like verizon and their phone setups much better, i must say the i phone is very tempting.. also, VERIZON! LOWER YOUR PRICES!
November 14th, 2009 at 8:41 am
IT IS CALLED THE SAMSUNG ROGUE NOT THE GLYDE 2 PEOPLE MAY THINK IT IS THE GLYDE 2 OR WANT TO CALL IT THAT BUT IT IS REALLY A SAMSUNG ROGUE!! OH YEAH YOU DO NEED A DATA PLAN FOR THE PHONE EITHER $10 OR $20
November 17th, 2009 at 6:04 am
I agree with some of the others here. If verizon is the biggest and best, why arent there phones????? And why are they sooo expensive??
November 23rd, 2009 at 9:29 am
i had the droid. i sent it back. forget the touch screen phones. why not a great working regular phone that isn’t a flip phone? start looking overseas at those designs and get one verizon. geez. it’s not that difficult to get more options for phones. and try for something other than black or red. so gay.
November 24th, 2009 at 5:07 pm
Fuck Verizon.
November 26th, 2009 at 7:59 am
verizon kisses as but thrir deals suck like hell they want way to much for their cell phones.
i just that they could lower they’re darn prices on the phones and let people who don’t have good credit still get a damb phone
they are ass wholes

i say get the f’n Razzle thats the coolest phone on there. i got it. and its the best.
December 28th, 2009 at 9:01 am
To Mark #33: This is my first time visiting this site and I personally think the name calling “stupid whore” is very extreme and uncalled. What gives you the rights to belittle someone whom, I am sure that you do not know!!!The comment really shows your intellectual and volcabulary level, which appears low on the totem pole…Linda, please continue to ask questions, inquire about things that you are unsure of! After all isn’t that how “we” learn!
