I am a new user of Motorola W376g Tracfone cell phone.
Quetion: Is there a detailed user handbook for it? All I got from tracfone is a very short version of it.

How can I transfer photos from the W376g to my computer?
Can the USB connection be used for something else besides battery charging?

You can buy a Bluetooth for your computer, and Settings > Connections > Bluetooth Link
> Setup

The USB port on all Tracfone W376G Cellular phones is disabled and CANNOT be used for anything other than handsfree headset, and charging from your PC (and with most models you must download a driver for that). The only use for bluetooth is handsfree operation. You cannot bluetooth to your PC. If anyone discovers a way to bypass the lockout of the USB port, please post!

I guess that means no downloading pictures from my phone without some expensive new gadget? Or will some gadget not help me anymore.

I was told by Radio Shack where I purchased my W376G that I could download a free USB driver from Motorola so I can
transfer my photos to my PC. Has anyone found a free
download? Where?

Download the driver from the Motorola website. But I still haven’t been able to transfer pics. The PC won’t recognize the phone as a drive.

You don’t need ANYTHING fancy or expensive for pix to PC - just email it!! Go to the pix you want to send, push the button in the middle of the circle and a menu comes up. First option is “Send in Message” click that and it will attach the pix to a message click ok and then choose who to send it to. (Just set yourself up in your phonebook with your email address first) You’ll get an email with the picture attached and you can save it to your PC.

Libby,in your Menu Page click “messages” icon then “Create” under it look for “MMS” then click. On the lower Left corner of your screen,you will see “INSERT” click it and it will take you to your picture/s.Under the “Picture” you have two Option the “Preloaded and downloaded media files and Additional Storage D” I think the pictures that was taken from your tracfone cam is stored under Additional Storage D. Select the picture you are going to send and hit “Insert” When it is done attaching the picture,click “OK” it will then take you to your phonebook. You should see the “One Time Entry” highlighted,click that and type your email address and you are done. You can only send picture one at a time.Goodluck!

IF I HAD KNOWN THERE WAS NO WAY TO TRANSFER PIC FROM MY W376G MOTO PHONE I WOULD NOT HAVE BOUGHT IT. AND I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER MOTO PHONE. THEY CAN KEEP THEM.AND I WILL MAKE SURE TO TELL AS MANY OTHERS AS I CAN ABOUT THIS CRAPPY PHONE.

this fone sux! its slow and takes forever to text, it wont let me download pics, and i cant send pictures to people. i do NOT recomend this phone

@Misty
Yeah, you could e-mail the pictures to your e-mail, but it’s rather costly to do so. Today I e-mailed ONE picture, and it cost me 1.5 minutes. And that price could go up or down depending on how fast or slow it takes the phone to send the picture.

For all practically purposes they have a USB connection, at least physical there is a connector and landscape space on any cell phone is a precious item, yet the software to do the USB data exchange is not provided. At least not to the owners. So we are forced to spend moneys just to send pics to our computer. Motorola, I’ll remember that little got-ya the next time I’m purchasing a new phone. Got-ya!
