The Motorola Droid cell phone is not a pretty design, Not a problem. You enjoy your superfluous phones. I’ll take my all-in-one Droid. The Droid does have a virtual keyboard that you can use when needed if you don’t want to use the tactile keyboard. The coming surge in Android phones is going to be interesting.

The Motorola Droid is bound to generate a lot of interest based on the early news about its features and I wonder if it will cause other manufacturers planning to announce Android phones to reconsider their announcements.

With the common 2 year lock-in most carriers require nowadays, how much of the air is the Droid going to suck out of the room for other Android devices not yet available? Howwill the other carriers react to a potentially significant movement of customers to a carrier with a reputation for having a solid network? If Verizon changes their past practice of locking down phone features and truly allows the Droid to function as an open device, this is going to be a fun winter.
