The BlackBerry Curve 8530 cell phone is light weight, adds GPS, it has WiFi and trackpad and runs on EV-DO Rev. 0 networks. The 8530 has a “cheap plastic” feel, the battery cover snaps in, no button. graphics seem more animated and not as professional. The Veriozn 8530 feels as cheap as it looks, it’s easier to type on. This handset is an entry level BlackBerry. That’s simple enough to understand. That means some may like it, and some may not.

The BlackBerry Curve 8530 features include a 2.5-inch display, a 2 megapixel camera, full QWERTY keyboard, Wi-Fi, GPS and 256MB of flash memory, a 3.5mm headphone jack, Stereo Bluetooth, support for microSD cards. I thought this phone would be great for my personal life and business both, it’s nice to go online anytime.

I love the new trackpad, very easy to use. The camera also takes really good quality photos. The 8530 is light weight and easy to carry.  the texting is different than the pearl but I am slowly getting used to it. The screen is super bright and big, the battery lasts way longer than the pearl. It is slim and the touch pad is pretty cool. Surfing the web is very fast with the 3G and when texting someone its in chat form. I would def recommend it.

Pros:

- does everything it needs to slim bright clear screen
- easy to use
- light weight
- lighter than the original new mouse is good

Cons:

- battery life too short keys are very small
- no flash on camera
